Goodbyes, Family time and Father's day

Andy is a grown up. Wow, I can't believe that he's going away to the Army. Special Forces to be more specific... I've seen him grow up from being a snot nose kid and now he's a grown man, going away to protect our country. We wanted to have a going away dinner for him. My Paupo, mom and niece and nephew were able to come down to say not Goodbye but Good Luck. Andy chose the Knott's chicken house. As kids growing up we would go there when we were celebrating. It was kind of bitter sweet to have his going away dinner there. Here are some of the pictures...

Sunday was Father's day. We had a BBQ/ swimming party. My uncle Owen and Nicholas came over from Rancho Mirage to spend some time with Paupo. Lisa brought Logan and drove down all the way from Norwalk. It's pretty awesome that she drove all the way down because she took the streets, she's scared to drive the freeway. We ate great food (thanks to Dennis as usual) and Swam all day. The kids were like Fish in the water. Even Logan liked the pool! I love spending time with family.

Stacey's a college grad!

I'll admit I've been bad. It's Thursday and I am just now blogging about last weekend... Better late then never! Friday night we drove down to SD to visit Stacey. We got there and went to dinner at an Hawaiian restaurant. Delicious. Then we went back to hang out. Love spending time whit that girl. :) Saturday was Graduation day and a super EARLY day for us. We had to be at the school way early because they were expecting a ton of people. We were lucky and got good seats, Front row of our section (which happened to be right where Stacey walked by). Watching Stacey graduate was the best feeling. I first met her when she was a Sophomore in High school. WOW, it's crazy to think that she's done with college. I'll admit I cried when they called her name. :) The Graduate procession YEY Stace! They look asleep. With her parents The Correia Family Stacey and the other Correia family :) Brother and sister Stacey and I Stacey and her SD friends (Paro & Rafi) Stacey, Angel and Omar Friends :) After the ceremony it took us over and hour to get out of the parking structure. (I'm glad Jenny was driving, I would have been flipping out) We headed to have lunch at Karl Strauss. Delicious! We had such a good time talking and joking around. It was a great group to share a meal with. The Gang Our gift to the graduate: Job search time! This is her reaction to the card we got her Cutest moment of the day! Stacey presented her stol to her parents to thank them for everything they have done for her! . Not a dry eye in the house after her speech! There weren't any concrete plans for the rest of the day. The parents went to the casino and the youngsters went back to Stacey's apartment to hang out. We played this card game called Phase 10. It's kinda like Uno and regular cards mixed together. I seriously suggest you get that game. I think we ended up playing for 3 hours. After wards we headed out the Greek Festival. I was in HEAVEN and in a food COMA! This weekend is Father's day, It's also the last weekend before my cousin Andrew heads out to the Army. He's enlisted into the Special Forces. I wish him nothing but the best and I know he'll do amazing. Bonus: My mom and my babies are headed out for the weekend. I can't wait and may I warn you now that it's going to be Picture OVERLOAD in my next weekend recap

Weekend Blogging...

So I've really started to enjoy my weekend blogging. It gives me something to put my creative effort into. I have a long history of things I start but end up being to hard or too involved like I use to scrapbook, but that got too expensive. Dennis and I would do stencil art, we were actually pretty good at it, I don't know why we stopped... I think I might suggest we start that up again. Blogging is actually something that I've been able to stick too, well since March so far. Plus it's free and who doesn't like doing something that's fun and free. So enough about my past failures and current accomplishments... I'll get to the weekends events.

Saturday we hung out at home and watched TV and relaxed, Jessie called with tickets to the LA galaxy game so we headed out to the game. There was some kind of Season ticket holder bonus after the game where you can walk out onto the field and they were taking a group picture. I sat in the stands and watched Jessie and Dennis take dorky pics on the field. After the game we all decided we wanted Dessert so we hunted down a bakery that was open around 9pm. We found this gem in Downey called the Tropicana. It was packed when we got there so we took that as a good sign. When you walk in there are 2 giant refrigerated cases full of awesome deliciousness. One is all desserts and the other is meat pastries and pretty much anything else you would want wrapped in pastry dough. Dennis was in HEAVEN! We had a hard time deciding what exactly we wanted so we just ordered a bunch of stuff. (No pics, I was lame and left my phone and camera at home)
After that we headed back to Jessie's house and watched the Hangover (such a funny movie), plotted how evil Dennis' bachelor party is going to be (whenever we get engaged...) and played UFC on the X box. Didn't get home till almost 1:30am.

Sunday we went to Ron & Claudia's house to watch the Lakers playoff game. They BBQ so we stuffed ourselves and watched the game. They lost which was a bummer but it was hilarious to see all the guys get so into the game. They were yelling and jumping up and high 5-ing each other when they would scored. Seriously guys... They players can't hear you... I'm glad that Dennis doesn't partake in all that nonsense. Although if you sit him in front of the TV for a baseball game, NASCAR, high speed chase or the daily crossword puzzle he zones the world out... Gotta love my dorky forever boyfriend...

Next weekend Stacey Graduates from COLLEGE! So excited! There will be plenty of pictures in my next post!

Fun in the sun, River 2010

We had a pretty eventful week/ weekend. Wednesday night I pulled an all nighter to watch Sex in the city 2. Such a good movie and well worth the exhaustion. We left for the river at 5am Thursday morning. I spent the 3 1/2 drive knocked out, Dennis is such a trooper and too good to me! I was sooo tired! As soon as we got to the river we started to unload the truck. Jessica and I put up the tent. We are so much alike it's scary. Put it this way 2 many chiefs and not enough Indians. After camp was set up, we couldn't wait to get into the water. So relaxing. I can basically sum up the whole trip in 4 words: river, eating, sleeping, drinking. I could write it all out but I think this is a case where a picture blog is more suitable for the occasion.

Note: The Pics aren't in any order, It took me forever to upload the pics let alone label each one or put them in order. So enjoy the way they are.
