Catching up on great times, with old friends!
I've been blessed to have met 3 women that I can honestly say have changed my life forever.
When I first started college I didn't know anyone. I was in the teacher tract at LBCC, so I had mostly the same people in all my classes, considering that you would think that making friends would be easy... Well not so much for me. I'm not a run up to people and introduce myself kinda girl... I wait for people to approach me. I met Martha first. We had to do a presentation on someone else in the class. She was sitting next to me so she leaned over and asked "Hey, do you want to partner up?" so basically we learned all about each other in 30 min. On the way out of the class she asked me if I had any plans for the break we had, until our next class started. I told her I didn't have plans, so she invited me to go with her to meet another girl in our class to study.
We went to the little pizza restaurant in Long Beach and met Dolores.
Dolores turned out to be as crazy and random as I figured she would be. Loud, dingy & crazy! After that dinner/ study session we all were inseparable. We would spend all of our free time hanging out and studying. That semester I had the best grades of my life. It's through Dolores that I met Grace. Dolores and Grace had been best friends since they were kids.
Grace is that friend that will tell you the truth when you need it. I am so thankful everyday that she and I have remained as close and we have. She is truly one of my best friends!
Today we had a reunion BBQ at my house. It was really fun! Dennis, the chef, hooked it up as usual! Hamburgers with bacon, peppers, onions and mushrooms, Hot dogs with all the fixens, and a ton of other delicious BBQ food! Thanks grace for the Potato salad, Dolores for the yummy rice pudding & Martha for the chips & veggie platter!
These 3 ladies have all grown up and apart. Leading our own separate lives but staying in touch. Grace lives close so we hang out pretty often, I haven't seen Dolores or Martha for 3 or so years but hanging out with them today was like no time had lapsed. Each of us are in our own little world, Grace: Married with a baby on the way, Dolores also with a baby on the way & Martha, engaged and 2 months away from getting her Masters degree. Thank you ladies for being you!
PS I can't wait till the ladies have their babies! ADORABLE!
In the pictures above the ladies in order from left are Claudia, Grace, Martha, Dolores & Me.

Busy weekend: Workout, Lunch, Soccer, Cleaning!
So the boring weekend that we thought we would have didn't turn out.
Friday night I went to my Calisthenics class umm yeah, I love the class but it makes me feel like I'm going to die. I guess you could say that means it's working but I don't think my muscles understand that. After that class, which is 2 nights a week, the only thing I want to do was sit on the couch and be lazy, so Friday night was a dud.
Saturday however was pretty awesome! Dennis & I met Lisa & Logan for lunch at Kabuki, sushi at it's best. Spending time with Logan is a highlight for us, Lisa is okay too. :) Here are some pics from lunch:

No more pictures, please.
After lunch we hung out with Stacey, Dennis' sister. She's graduating this June from UCSD. Were soo unbelievably proud of her! ANYWAYS... Jessie, one of Dennis' friends has 4 season tickets to the Galaxy soccer team, and he invited us to go. We'd never been to a professional soccer game before so we were pretty excited to check it out. The game lived up to all the Hype. We had a blast! We love baseball but soccer was pretty intense to watch. Here are some pictures from the game, Most of the pictures are of us because we all know that we're conceited. ha ha
Stacey & the one and only David Beckham
I can't tell who is hotter!
Dennis & his man friend (Jessie)
We had a pretty good view.
Dennis being a stalker/ paparazzi/ pervert took this picture of Jessie comming out of the restroom.
Stacey & I
Thanks Jessie for the tickets.
Results of the game: Galaxy beat Real Salt Lake 2 to 1. whoo hoo. I think more soccer games are in our future!
Now it's Sunday... Cleaning day... whatever happend to Sunday funday??

Easter weekend rundown
Easter weekend was fun filled and overly booked with stuff to do. Spent the whole weekend with my niece Allyson, nephew Anthony (aggie) and of course my Mom which was amazing!
Plus Sunday was Dennis & I's 8 year anniversary! Yea for us :)
Saturday, we went to Chucky Cheese, Umm thank god I don't have my own kids and have to go to that devil place that often... Kids screaming, and running everywhere. Plus it's crazy expensive. $60 bucks for pizza really? Got home and after a much needed nap, for the kids & us, we colored Easter eggs. So much fun! Last year the kids weren't old enough to know exactly what they were doing so this year it was pretty fun.
Sunday morning Ally comes running in the room to wake us up! Aggie not far behind. They couldn't wait to see if the Easter Bunny came! They looked all over the house and found their baskets on the table. They were soooo excited! Both couldn't get enough of the play doh.
The rest of the morning they colored with their Uncle Dennis. I don't know who had more fun, the kids or Dennis.
On Easter, growing up my mom always made us wear the most ridiculous outfits. big fluffy dresses & hats. There is no exception for her grand kids. I'll admit they looked adorable!
After the kids had their Easter photoshoot, family started showing up we took a quick family photo before grubbing on Easter dinner, yummy lasagna, Cesar salad and garlic bread. Yummy Yummy
The Easter egg hunt was the culmination of the day. We got all the kids inside and Dennis (the Easter bunny) and I went out front to hide the eggs. Over 100 eggs for all the kids to find!
Monday morning was bittersweet. I was ready to go home but I knew I would miss my family. Plus it Snowed that night! I HATE driving in the snow...
Overall we had a great weekend!

Who doesn't love FREE tickets to an Angels game??
Yesterday I was happily working away when I got an email stating that they were going to do a raffle at 4pm for 4 tickets to the Angel's game. Of course I was interested and I figured Dennis wouldn't mind, this event is right up his alley: a baseball game, a FREE BASEBALL GAME!
I get a call around 3:30 from Jessica S., my awesome co-worker, asking if I was going to try and get the tickets, I told her of course I was. Well she wanted them too so we struck a deal; If I won I would take her and her husband and if she won she would take Dennis and I.
So we waited until the clock struck 4 and ran to the conference room. Waiting there were a bunch of my other coworkers... Darn more competition. We all put our names one by one, eyeing each other jokingly as we put our names into the basket wondering who was going to be the lucky one...
BAM! My name got pulled! I did a little happy dance and yelled " whoo hoo Jessica were going to the the ANGEL GAME" Then we called Dennis to surprise him with the good news! He was pretty excited, a baseball game is better then sitting at home watching TV.
There was tons of traffic to get to the stadium but it was well worth the wait. The tickets came with a parking pass so we got to park right in front, literally in the 2nd row of parked cars! We walked into the stadium wondering where our seats were... We get to our section and were like no way these are so close. The seats were Amazing! Right behind the Angel's dugout and 6 rows back! So awesome! We've never sat so close before... The Angels lost but the game was so much fun!

Early Easter
Easter/ our Anniversary came early this year. For the past 8 years we've always gone on a trip around this time, this year is no different except instead of Laughlin (Our fave destination) were going to Carson, NV! I'm Excited to see my family, Dennis is excited to gamble!
Since were going to be out of town over the weekend, we exchanged Easter/ anniversary gifts. He got a cute basket with tons of chocolate & little containers that he can use to Geo cache, I got awesome speakers for my computer at work, the ones that I had were horrible and I need music at work or I'll go mad! Can't wait to post all the pictures from this weekend.
We've already have a ton of plans for this weekend: Chucky Cheese on Saturday and then an Easter BBQ with the family! Dennis & I are making the baskets for the kids this year so we loaded up and all kids of fun stuff for them: sidewalk chalk, crayons with a huge coloring book, barbies for the girls, toy cars for the boys, and of course bubbles. Can't wait to see how excited the kids get! So looking forward to having an awesome weekend!
